You’ll visit Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland”, and Azrou to see the Barbary apes. Then, pass through Midelt with its apple orchards and stunning mountain scenery. Finally, arrive in Merzouga to experience the golden dunes of the Sahara Desert, riding camels into the dunes for a breathtaking sunset and spending the night in a traditional Berber camp.
Today on our 3-day desert tour from Fes to Marrakech, we’ll start by witnessing the beautiful sunrise over the Sahara Desert. After breakfast, we’ll ride camels back to Merzouga and then visit Rissani, known for its bustling markets. Next, we’ll explore Erfoud, famous for fossils and dates, before heading to the Todgha Gorges for a walk through the limestone river canyons. Finally, we’ll arrive in Boumalne Dades for a relaxing evening and dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast, you’ll explore the Dades Valley, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs” for its numerous fortified villages.
