This adventure from Agadir to the Merzouga dunes promises an extraordinary experience. You’ll encounter diverse landscapes, immerse yourself in Moroccan culture and enjoy the beauty of the Sahara.

Are you ready for the journey? It’s a story of contrasts, from the lively beaches of Agadir to the tranquil oases of Skoura and the cinematic landscapes of Ouarzazate to the grandeur of the Merzouga dunes.

Itinerary: From Agadir: 4-Day Desert Tour To Merzouga

Day 1: Agadir - Taliouine - Ait ben Haddou - Ouarzazate.

The first day of our 4 Days Agadir to Sahara Desert tour begins in the morning, crossing through Taroudant, known as “Small Marrakesh.” We then drive to Taliouine, the only saffron-growing area in Morocco, and continue to Taznakht. From here, we drive to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It has been featured in films like Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Asterix and Obelix, and Game of Thrones. We will visit the kasbah after lunch at a Berber restaurant. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Atlas Film Studios. Overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

Day 2: Ouarzazate - Todra gorges - Merzouga desert.

From Ouarzazate, we travel through the Rose Valley and the Dades Valley to reach the Todra Gorges, where we stop for a short walk through these breathtaking gorges. In the afternoon, we continue to the dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you will experience a camel ride to the top of the dunes and enjoy a spectacular sunset. Overnight in a beautiful desert camp.

Day 3: Merzouga desert - Rissani - Alnif - Agdez.

The camp owner will inform you of the time you need to wake up to watch the sunrise from the dunes. Afterward, you’ll return to the camp for a shower and enjoy breakfast. Then, we drive from Merzouga to the Draa Valley, passing through Rissani, Alnif, and Tazzarine. In the afternoon, our journey takes us to Tanasikht, and then we continue along the Draa Valley, known as “The Long Valley of Palm Trees in Morocco,” with its vast palm groves and ancient villages. Overnight stay in Agdez.

Day 4: Agdez - Taznakht - Taliouine - Taroudant - Agadir

Today you begin your journey through the rich culture and stunning landscapes of Morocco as you explore Agdez, Taznakht, Taliouine and Taroudant. Start your adventure in Taznakht, famous for its traditional Berber carpets. Then head to Taliouine, famous for its quality saffron. Then wander the vibrant markets and ancient walls of Taroudant, often called ‘Little Marrakech’. As part of your experience, don’t miss the opportunity to take a 4-day desert tour from Agadir to Merzouga, where you’ll enjoy unforgettable experiences, including breathtaking desert views and a taste of Moroccan hospitality.

    Best tour we ever had

    Group Traveller

Our host, Youssef, was accomodating. He agreed to our request to visit our friends staying in Ouarzazate. What I really like was that our hotel accomodations were walking distance to medina or tourist spots. That way, we can explore on our own by just walking. No need to ride a taxi. We were not rushed like other tours. We walked around like locals. We also like the walking tour with our guide around the medina of Marrakech.
