Day 1: Casablanca to Chefchaouen (The Blue City)
Our 6-day desert tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Casablanca. We’ll travel through the scenic Rif Mountains, taking in breathtaking views along the way. Upon reaching Chefchaouen, known as the Blue City, you’ll be captivated by the stunning blue-painted houses, believed by locals to repel mosquitoes. Enjoy exploring this charming city, perfect for unique photos, and savor the flavors at local cafes and restaurants. After a day of discovery, we’ll spend the night in a cozy local hotel or riad.
Day 2: Chefchaouen to Fes City
On Day 2 of our 6-day desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, you’ll wake up at 7:00 AM and enjoy breakfast at 8:30 AM. Afterward, we’ll leave Chefchaouen and travel through the scenic Rif Mountains to Fes, located in northeastern Morocco. Fes is renowned for its Fes El Bali walled medina, featuring medieval Marinid architecture, bustling markets, and a captivating old-world atmosphere. Along the way, we’ll stop to visit Volubilis, a partly excavated ancient Berber city near Meknes, which once served as the capital of the Kingdom of Mauretania. Upon arriving in Fes, we’ll check into a local hotel or riad to relax. In the afternoon, you’ll have time to explore the city or enjoy some free time before we spend the night in Fes.
Day 3: Fes to Merzouga Desert
On Day 3 of our 6-day desert tour, we’ll journey from Fes to Merzouga Desert. After breakfast, we’ll stop in Ifrane, known for its snowfall, and visit the Azrou Forest to see wild monkeys. Lunch will be at a local Berber restaurant in Zaida, followed by a scenic drive through the Atlas Mountains to Midelt City. We’ll then continue to Erfoud before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes.
In Merzouga, enjoy a camel ride, take in the stunning desert sunset, and snap unforgettable photos on our way to the desert camp. In the evening, unwind around a fire with traditional Berber music and gaze at the starry sky while we spend the night in the peaceful desert camp.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert – Tinghir – Dades Valley
On our 6-day desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, we begin the day in Merzouga and head to Rissani, famous for its dates and bustling souks. Next, we’ll continue to Tinghir, known for its stunning landscapes and the impressive Tinghir Gorge. After exploring the gorge, we’ll make our way to Boumalne Dades, a town located at the edge of a desert plateau and the entrance to the upper Dadès Valley. We’ll spend the night in Boumalne Dades at a comfortable hotel or riad, ready to rest before continuing our journey.
Day 5: Dades Valley – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech
Today of our 6-day desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, after breakfast, we’ll begin our journey to Marrakech, the final stop of our adventure. Our first stop will be Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and an iconic group of traditional buildings in Ouarzazate. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in famous movies like The Mummy, Gladiator, Alexander, and Game of Thrones. We’ll explore the Kasbah, take memorable photos, and immerse ourselves in the village’s traditional culture.
Afterward, we’ll drive through Tizi Ntichka in the Atlas Mountains before arriving in Marrakech, known as the “Red City.” Once in Marrakech, you’ll have free time to wander through the vibrant streets, shop for unique souvenirs, and relax at a local café.
Day 6: Transfer to Casablanca Airport or Marrakech
On the final day of our 6-day desert tour from Casablanca to Marrakech, after breakfast, we will transfer you to either Casablanca Airport (CMN) or Marrakech Airport (RAK), depending on your travel plans.
